Cafe Varanasi

We went for lunch on Sunday afternoon. As we were 13 friends and wanted to be seated together, we had made reservations in advance with the manager, Mr.Arun. He politely accepted our reservation and sent a pdf of their menu thru WhatsApp, just in case. When we arrived for lunch, we were greeted well. Though all of us arrived at different times, there was no pressure whatsoever from the staff to place the order. Mr.Manikandan, one who took the order, was very patient with us and helped us with selecting the items. We ordered various Soups and Starters. The highlights were Thai Mushroom soup(coconut milk based) and tomato soup(not the usual creamy one,this is more like rasam). Hot and sour and manchow were good too. In Starters,the honey chilly lotus stem was excellent. For gravy, we ordered some regular North Indian like Dal makhani, veg kohlapuri, and Bhindi masala. Everything tasted good, but Bindi stood out. Butter naan was awesome, and phulkas were so soft. In desserts, the Ghevar was so good. Overall, the food was very tasty,with decent enough portions (except Bhindi) and reasonably priced. The ambience was decent. All the staff,including Manikandan and Navin, are very polite and patient. The only suggestion would be to cut down the waiting time for the order a bit. In general, we loved the food and service and would definitely like to dine in here again with our families and friends. Keep up the good work, and you will gain your spot in a city that is yearning for more pure veg restaurants

Had dinner with family at Café Varanasi in Coimbatore today, and the experience was overall satisfactory. The highlight of the evening was the exceptional service, especially by Mr. Manikandan. Despite the dessert section being closed, he went the extra mile to get us a refreshing fresh lime drink. He also thoughtfully customized the baby potato yellow gravy by adding spices, which made the dish much more enjoyable. The food overall was good in taste, though the portion size of the broccoli kebab could have been more generous. The mezzanine floor was unfortunately quite noisy due to some loud patrons, which was a bit of a letdown and disrupted the dining atmosphere. Valet parking was convenient, and the interior was decent, though not very upscale. Pricing felt slightly on the higher side for the overall experience. In conclusion, while the noise level and portion size were minor drawbacks, the attentive service and good food made it a pleasant dining experience. 3.5/5 Stars

A good veg restaurant . staffs are very polite and humble. Restaurant hygienically maintained. ARAVIND MD of the restaruant is very professional. Car parking available. I try Thai soup made with coconut milk. Super. Try at week ends.

We enjoyed the food at Cafe Varanasi. The food quality exceeded our expectations and I would recommend these items: 1. Hot and Sour Soup 2. Malai Broccoli with green chutney 3. Veg Kolhapuri

Excellent food! If you are looking for good north indian food then this is the place. We had dinner with family, everyone enjoyed the food and atmosphere. Rasik and Manikandan took care of serving the food very well. Recommended!
